Welcome to 2017!

What a Year!

As 2016 comes to an end Graham and I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to all our wonderful clients, our family and friends, the fantastic business people that we have been involved with and all the amazing new friends that we have made this year. The support and love that we have felt has been incredible.

Hand in hand – they are on an amazing journey together.

This year has been quite the ride for us, both in our personal lives and as GT Studios. As an extended family we have dealt with illness and loss but also had the opportunity to celebrate many milestones and new life too!

GT Studios was also officially given life this year and although both Graham and I have been involved with photography in some way since our teenage years it has been a real dream come true to finally make our dream a reality and make this passion of ours in to a business we can proudly call our own.

As the year has progressed we have had the most amazing experiences. We have met wonderful people and have really enjoyed getting to know them.

We have continued to expand our photographic services, we had our first market experience in October and of course we have made time for regular on going education through out the year.

Step bravely through the portal, and find yourself in a different time and place.

In 2017 we hope to expand further, we will be making some changes, hopefully for the better! In the meantime, please continue to like and share our blog posts and Facebook posts. We love when you leave comments and feedback on Facebook. You are our voice in this big wide world and we appreciate all your support.

Not Long Now!

Not long now – Christmas is nearly here! There will be some people who have been ready and organised for weeks and there will be some who are still at the shops right up to the last minute.

This year I have been better organised than usual – I need to thank our wonderful clients for that – it’s amazing what a difference it made knowing people needed their photos for Christmas cards and presents – we did not want to let anyone down!

With only a few days before Christmas, some of us are probably starting to feel a little flustered and harassed! So many things still to do – but it is really important to look around at the things you have done and take a moment to catch your breath so that you are truly ready for the big day.

This time of year can be such a stressful time for so many people. We find ourselves under extra pressure, deadlines at work, Christmas shopping, entertaining, and generally being a lot busier than normal.

Hopefully the Christmas tree is up and some of the Christmas Shopping is done so put your feet up and give yourself a break – the important thing is not how much you get done before Christmas but who you spend your time with – make sure you have some quality time this year with the people that matter!

How many days till Christmas?

A week in to December and Christmas seems to be heading our way quicker than ever. “How many days till Christmas?” seems to be a question being asked by many and when answered there is often a look of disbelief and shock in adults, and excitement and a touch of impatience in children.

With only three and a half weeks to go the reality is sinking in. The Christmas Card orders need to be finalised tonight and the last minute tweaking of Christmas Albums takes place this week.

We had the great privilege of being involved with lots of families this Christmas season – arranging photo experiences so that the images can be used as gifts for loved ones. Beautiful works of art to be placed in that special spot on the wall, amazing collections that get transformed into a masterpiece album for the coffee table and beautiful greetings cards to help spread the joy of Christmas in a truly personal way.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”

During a recent Winter Wonderland Christmas Photo Experience, our beautiful clients were in the dressing room changing their outfits and it was the perfect opportunity for our GT Studios Christmas Tree to make a quick costume change too! It started the day in purple and gold but with a magical twirl it matched the next outfits perfectly.

Miss T just loved  this outfit from Little Rainbow Boutique and so do I. The minute she put it on she wanted to hold her skirt out and strike a pose! Not a bad effort for a little girl.

Big sister then put on a great show too! These images will make the most gorgeous personalised Christmas cards.

Summer At Last

At last Summer has arrived – it seems Spring decided not to make an appearance this year but that’s ok – bring on those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer – picnics in the park – fields of flowers – and so many opportunities for a photo experience.
