These three beautiful fairies were very brave and went barefoot in the wet grass. They managed to turn on some real fairy magic for us.

Thank You!

A big thank you to everyone who took part in our Pop-up Photo Experience in the Park last Sunday.

Despite the cold, overcast sky and drizzling rain we had an awesome time with all of you. Every single person was amazing in front of the camera and we are looking forward to sharing your beautiful collection of photos with you soon!

Our feature photo for today’s blog shows a gorgeous Fairy Family – the first photo experience of the day – it was really freezing – but they were so brave – went bare foot through the wet grass – and created some real fairy magic!!

If you missed out last Sunday contact us today for your personal photo session in the park – our next park experience will be Sunday October 16th – surely the Spring weather will be with us by then!!

Photos in the Park

I can’t believe we were so lucky with the weather on the day Mikayla and Marcus met us for their Photos in the Park experience. It was not hot by any stretch of the imagination but it did not rain. It was nice to be able to pop open our beautiful white lace parasol which beautifully complimented the fresh floral crown made especially for the occasion!

The flowers were chosen to compliment Mikayla’s complexion, eyes and hair as well as the clothes that she had chosen to wear on the day. Quite a lot of planning and preparation happens before the photo session to ensure everything looks great on the day!

I love the way these two really relaxed during the session. They look so natural and relaxed in these photos.

If you would like to have your own photo experience contact us and we will be happy to discuss some ideas with you. There are still two sessions available this Sunday, 18th of September but bookings are essential so call me on 0481 190 163 for your personal time allocation. More details here.

All Dressed Up

Mikayla and Marcus looked amazing in their formal clothes for these images. Mikayla wore a beautiful floral crown featuring Spring Blossom, Blue Delphiniums and Gypsophila which perfectly matched her gorgeous royal blue lace dress. The floral crown was handcrafted by GT Studios especially for the occasion. These floral crowns can be made to order for any of our photo experiences as an optional add-on. If you would like a floral crown for your special occasion or photo experience contact us and we will be happy to help.

If you have a special occasion, a school formal, graduation, birthday, anniversary or any other event that is worth remembering we would love to help capture those moments so they become lasting memories for you. This could be before the event, at the event or after the event.  Contact us for more details, to check availabilty, packages and prices.

Bubbles

The Trouble With Bubbles!

Bubbles would be fun I thought, as I packed the gear for the photo experience at the park a few weeks ago. I made sure I packed the appropriate requirements. When the time came, I took out the bubble making solution and set myself up in a suitable spot.

The girls stood in anticipation, the photographer was poised ready for the action, the parents eagerly awaited to see some magic……

Waiting in anticipation

Waiting in anticipation

Not every photo experience goes as planned, but we improvise until we get an image that we are happy with. Every time I managed to get bubbles the wind direction changed and they rarely ended up in the shot. I crouched down low, I stood on the park bench (sshhh… don’t tell anyone!) and I jumped up and down! We hoped the girls would jump for the bubbles but I think they were simply perplexed at seeing the photographers assistant acting a little crazy!

Are you making more bubbles?

Are you making more bubbles?

The great thing about the bubbles not working that day is it encouraged us to buy a bubble making machine. So if you would like to book a Bubble Experience Package I just have to press the “On Switch”!

We still have limited spaces available in the afternoon for the pop-up in the park photo experiences on Sunday the 18th of September. Bookings are essential – only one week away – don’t miss out! Contact us now!

Dance Like There’s No-One Watching!

Dancing means a lot to me – I started ballet when I was four and I started ballroom dancing when I was nine. I met my soul-mate at a ballroom dancing school. Dance was always an art form – a way of expressing and also a great way of meeting people and keeping fit.

Photography fills the same needs for us today. It is all that dance is – when we asked Mikayla and Marcus if they danced the answer was no!

Fairy Mischief

Little fairies love to play and when there is a park to play in it is so much fun! They needed to sit for a rest and plan their next move – “maybe to the olive grove” I think I heard them whisper…

But first lets see how far we can stretch our arms – can we make our fairy wings touch?

They couldn’t resist the temptation of the bridge – they giggled and laughed as they swung off the railings.

We are not doing anything naughty we promise – just doing fairy things –

Sunday in the Park

Really want to share a few more images with you from the photo session with Mikayla and Marcus so here are the next four! The first image shows Mikayla wearing a fresh floral crown that I made especially for the shoot. The flowers were from the lovely people at Flowers Everywhere . The next image has Mikayla and Marcus hand in hand as they take a walk down the garden path. This is an ideal spot for a pre or post formal/graduation photo package experience.

The location was amazing, we had so many options to choose from, I think this place will become a favourite spot for us to take our clients. This time of year it has a field of little white daisies, beautiful lavender bushes, trees full of blossom and citrus trees too! If you would like to have some amazing images in a park setting why not book a session at our Pop-up Photo Shoot in the Park. It’s on Sunday the 18th of September. For only $100 you get a 45 minute session with 3 high resolution fully edited digital images. Click here for details.

Mikayla & Marcus

Sometimes you just know the photo experience is going to be a good one and this was one of those experiences! Here are the first 4 photos from this weekend.

Mikayla

Mikayla

GT Studios had the opportunity to work with two amazing young teenagers, Mikayla and Marcus, during a 2 hour shoot in the park. This gave plenty of time for a few outfit/theme changes and the chance for them to experience our pop-up change room! Marcus even got roped in as photographers assistant at one point! (You did a great job Marcus!)

If you would like to capture casual, formal, or fantasy experiences as memories that last forever why not contact us and we can arrange a photo experience that suits your needs. There are still sessions available at the pop-up session in the park on Sunday the 18th of September. This is amazing value for what you get – check out the details here.

Focused and Reflective

Sometimes a prop can transform a photo experience to a different time and place. This beautiful Pathein parasol from Myanmar did exactly that for this photo session.

Sitting on the edge of the olive grove Miss C was able to tell us that it was a gift from her Farmor and Papa.

Instead of a fairy fluttering through the forest with her spectacular wings she became a more focused and reflective subject.

Miss C has quite a passion for parasols and umbrellas. We have in fact had the pleasure of being asked to take her photo previously with several different parasols and umbrellas, but this one was the most beautiful I think.

At the end of the day, Miss C had to change back in to her own clothes ready to go home. She noticed me showing her Mummy and Daddy some of the new items in my prop box – “Oooh what’s that?” she asked. “A flouro pink tutu” I answered. “Can I try it on?” she asked. So we popped it on over the top of her clothes she was already dressed in. She swooped up her parasol and rushed back to Graham before he packed up – “May I please have some more photos with this?”….
