In the Blink of an Eye

Do you remember as a child it seemed like forever when you were counting down to a special day or celebration? Now, can you believe that we are already at the end of August – only four months ’till the end of the year? It seems that the older we get the faster time travels!

Families get the pleasure of counting down to many special days and celebrations; but in the blink of an eye; those excited children have grown up and suddenly have children of their own!

This weekend we had a beautiful opportunity to capture some precious life moments between two delightful little sisters.

Miss C and Miss T were naturals, sitting on a picnic rug in the park, they just did what came naturally. This set of images tells a beautiful story – a loving look, some reassurance, a quick kiss and a shared secret then hand in hand they are on an amazing journey together!

Over the next few weeks we will share some of the images from their amazing adventure they had during the 2 hour photo shoot – at the end of the day I asked them if they had fun – YES!! I asked if they wanted to do it again -YES!! That made our day!! GT Studios takes us on an amazing life journey every time we get the opportunity to do what we did this weekend!

You Are My Sunshine

At last I get the feeling that Spring is just around the corner. The sun has been shining and the flowers are blooming. The trees are in blossom and our cameras have been working overtime!

Reaching Out

GT Studios recently had a chance to spend a few hours in the Adelaide Botanic Garden with Adam Durst at his Caught Dancing – Flower Photography Workshop. Adam is a Canadian-born photographer who now calls Adelaide home. He is known for his Fine Art Photography.

Always In Her Shadow

The workshop was not about the technical aspect of taking a photo of a flower but more about the artistic aspect. We were encouraged to look for the story in each image. These two images are the first of Graham’s images from the day. The first is titled “Reaching Out” and the second “Always In Her Shadow.” Hope you enjoy the stories! These images are for sale. Sparks fly at Tanunda workshop

GT Studios participated in a masterclass in light painting led by Denis Smith, a world renowned expert in this field. A privileged group of photographers were wined and dined at Peter Lehmann Wines Tanunda while Denis entertained us with his stories as well as generously sharing his knowledge and skills.

Denis allowed us to use his suite of light painting tools to create magic.

DInner was served at 4 locations at the winery. Main course was in the barrel hall amongst thousands of oak barrels full of fine wine.

The main course (of 4!) was served in the Barrel Hall. This extraordinary location was also used as the backdrop for more light painting antics.

Credit must be given to the staff at the winery, not just for the amazing food, service and locations, but also for putting up with us plunging them into darkness.

I think we all had a great time, and we are looking forward to getting out to do more light painting soon. Thanks to Denis and his tireless helper Ben for all the advice and encouragement throughout the evening.

Have you booked your session for the Pop-up Photo Shoot in the Park? Hopefully Spring will have Sprung but no matter the weather we will be bringing out your inner model! Pop-up shoots are a great way to get to know your photographer in a relaxed setting without the stress of a special event.

  • WHERE – Rymill Park Adelaide (East Tce , Bartels Rd, Dequetteville Tce and Rundle Rd)
  • WHEN – Sunday September 18th from 9am to 4.30pm
  • TIME INVOLVED – Your session lasts for 30 to 45 minutes (you must be on time!)
  • COST – only $100
  • WHAT DO YOU GET – You will receive 3 fully edited, high resolution images
  • HOW SOON DO YOU GET THEM – a catch up session will be booked with in the following few weeks at a convenient time for you to choose your images. Printed and framed images can also be ordered at this session.
